Jollof Rice, the most popular dish out of West Africa, traces it origin to the Wolof Empire of West Africa, where current day Senegal is located. Centuries on, as well as the migration of people, the dish has spread all over West Africa. It’s a one-pot dish of rice, vegetable and or meats cooked together. It comes close to a pilau but takes on its own character. Today, almost every West African country claim their own version of what has come to be commonly known as Jollof Rice.

Join us to celebrate Ghana’s 60th Independence Anniversary as we tackle Ghana Jollof Rice head on. Why the spotlight? And learn to cook the best Jollof Rice. We shall also make Goat Stew to pair the Jollof Rice for all Jollof Rice lovers who like their Jollof with a kick of goat.
